Senior Full-Stack Developer
Job summary
We are building and strengthening our core engineering team and seeking a senior full-stack developer to take ownership of our existing data intelligence platform. This role will focus on stabilising, optimising, and scaling the current system into a secure, high-performance, enterprise-grade data platform.

Responsibilities:
Backend Architecture:
- Design and implement scalable backend systems that support dashboards, analytics tools, and client portals.
- Define and maintain system architecture that supports growth across multiple countries and datasets.
- Develop secure authentication systems with role-based access controls.
- Build modular and maintainable services that allow product expansion over time.
- Ensure high system performance and reliability.
Database Design:
- Design relational and non-relational databases optimised for analytics and large datasets.
- Develop efficient schemas that support reporting and visualisation needs.
- Implement indexing and performance tuning strategies.
- Maintain backup, recovery, and data redundancy systems.
API Integrations:
- Build secure RESTful or GraphQL APIs for frontend and third-party integrations.
- Integrate external systems such as survey platforms, mapping tools, payment systems, and CRM platforms.
- Maintain clear API documentation and version control practices.
Data Security & Compliance:
- Implement encryption for data in transit and at rest.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, including GDPR standards.
- Develop audit logging and monitoring systems.
- Strengthen platform resilience against vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack development.
- Strong backend expertise in Node.js, Python, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of system architecture and scalable SaaS platforms.
- Experience building secure data-driven applications is preferred.
KPIs (First 12 Months):
- Complete technical audit and stabilisation of existing platform within first 90 days.
- Refactored and optimised backend architecture deployed within 120 days.
- The platform achieves and maintains 99% uptime within the first year.
- No major security breaches or compliance failures.
- Improved system performance with at least a 30% reduction in critical latency issues.
- Infrastructure supports multi-country datasets and enterprise clients without performance degradation.
- Elimination of all high-risk technical debt identified during the initial audit.
- Structured CI/CD and a documented development workflow fully operational within the first 6 months.
