Senior Builder

Responsibilities:

• Interpreting Plans: Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to guide accurate construction.
  
• Site Preparation: Clear and prepare sites, set up equipment, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  
• Structural Work: Construct building foundations, walls, roofs, and other structural components using appropriate materials and methods.
  
• Finishing Work: Oversee installation of windows, doors, fixtures, fittings, and other finishing details.
  
• Demolition and Excavation: Supervise or execute demolition of existing structures and excavation for new construction.
  
• Scaffolding: Erect, maintain, and dismantle scaffolding safely and efficiently.
  
• Heavy Machinery Operation: Supervise the use of heavy equipment such as excavators and other site machinery.
  
• Laying Pipes and Ducts: Install plumbing, electrical, and mechanical ducts to support building systems.
  
• Soundproofing and Insulation: Apply insulation and soundproofing materials to ensure comfort, energy efficiency, and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a B.Sc. in Building Technology
• Minimum of 7 years cognate experience in building construction.
• Must be registered with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON)
  
• Proven track record in managing large-scale building projects.
  
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulatory frameworks.
  
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
