Job summary

We are seeking a high-performing and strategic Sales Manager (Pharmaceuticals) to lead our commercial operations across Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, managing a high-impact team of Medical Sales Representatives, and strengthening our brand presence with key healthcare stakeholders.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement regional sales plans to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and provide field-based coaching for a team of Medical Sales Representatives to ensure peak performance.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), consultants, hospital administrators, and major pharmaceutical distributors in Lagos.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, analyse market trends, and identify new business opportunities within the region.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee regional budgets, manage customer sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm), B.Sc in Pharmacology, Biochemistry and other science-related courses. A relevant Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
  • Experience: Between 3 and 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales within Lagos.
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the healthcare landscape in Lagos and established networks with major hospitals and pharmacies.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical problem-solving, and proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
  • Location: Must be a resident of Lagos
