Job summary

Our client, a reputable organization in the quarry and mining industry, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven quarry sales officer to drive aggregate sales, expand the customer base, and ensure sustainable revenue growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and supporting the company's commercial objectives.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and acquire new customers, including construction companies, block industries, road contractors, real estate developers, and aggregate distributors.
  • Promote and negotiate sales of quarry products, including 0–5mm Granite, 12mm Granite, 19mm Granite, 25mm Granite and Stone Dust Hardcore
  • Manage customer orders and coordinate with the weighbridge, loading, and dispatch teams to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Monitor customer accounts, manage credit sales, and ensure prompt collection of outstanding receivables.
  • Conduct market research to monitor competitor pricing, demand trends, and upcoming construction projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to improve customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the overall profitability of the quarry operations.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of a higher national diploma (HND) in marketing, business administration, sales, economics, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience, preferably within the quarry, mining, construction materials, cement, or manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of quarry products, aggregate specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and work effectively under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Basic financial literacy with knowledge of invoicing, receivables, and credit management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications..
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.
  • Possession of a valid driver's licence will be an added advantage.

Remuneration: NGN 150,000 Monthly
