AES seeks a hands-on Project Lead – Systems Engineering & Integration to execute greenfield building automation, specialized door systems, and ELV projects across Nigeria. Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Site Execution & Leadership: Lead on-site deployments for BMS, SCADA, access control, fire safety, and specialized heavy door systems (ASSA ABLOY, Schweiss, Megadoor). Build, train, and direct field technicians.
- Hardware & Logic Diagnostics: Diagnose physical, electronic, and protocol failures (Modbus, BACnet, RS485, IP) on-site. Design real-time logic and wiring workarounds when OEM hardware requires custom field integration.
- Project Handover & Quality Control: Conduct Factory/Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT), verify technical completion, and execute clean handovers to our internal Maintenance Support Team.
- Resource & Safety Management: Sequence site installation tasks, manage on-site material allocation, and ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards across all project phases.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in ELV, BMS, or industrial automation, with at least 2 years leading site installation teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to read electrical schematics/SLDs, configure PLCs/controllers, isolate power/signal faults, and troubleshoot board-level or system-level electronics under field pressure.
- Protocol & Systems Knowledge: Deep experience with communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, RS485, IP) and major OEM systems (e.g., Schneider Electric, ASSA ABLOY).
- Mindset: A field-first engineer who thrives on active commercial/industrial sites and takes complete ownership of execution deadlines.
