Job summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-minded industrial refrigeration technician to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operation, preventative maintenance, and emergency repair of our large-scale industrial cooling systems. You will work extensively with high-capacity equipment, including anhydrous ammonia systems, industrial chillers, and automated process controls. Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- System Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on industrial compressors, cooling towers, evaporators, and condensers.
- Ammonia Safety: Safely monitor, test, and repair high-hazard anhydrous ammonia refrigeration systems in strict compliance with safety protocols.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults quickly to minimize plant downtime; repair or replace pumps, valves, and motors.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of system operations, refrigerant tracking, safety checks, and regulatory compliance paperwork.
- Emergency Response: Participate in the on-call rotation to handle urgent system failures or hazardous leak responses.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited HVAC-R trade school program or registered apprenticeship is preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with industrial refrigeration or heavy commercial systems.
- Proficient in reading complex electrical schematics, industrial piping diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform duties in both extremely cold (freezers) and hot environments.
Location: Ogba, Lagos
Remuneration: NGN180,000 - 200,000 Monthly (Depending on experience)
