Production Officer

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the production manager in regularly inspecting ongoing production in the factory to determine whether they meet established quality standards.  
• Responsible for sourcing, negotiating and procuring high-quality and cost-efficient materials for production
• Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
• Develops a work plan, schedule, and logistics required, based on the overall project parameters and scope
• Work with the logics department to prioritize deliveries
• Checks installation/design plans to ensure the functionality of the product
• Monitor production process and send in weekly production status reports 
• Communicate and update the internal and external teams on progress, approvals, and production delivery status
• Review and follow up on maintenance or damage to furniture when required
• Develop and strengthen working relationships with furniture and material vendor partners
• Enforce health and safety precautions in the factory and every active site.

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of B.Sc., OND/Technical school. in furniture/woodwork or Architecture
• 1 year of relevant experience would be an added advantage.  
• Planning and organizational skill
• Negotiation Skills and the ability to influence people
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• A can-do attitude with a real drive to succeed 
• Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
