Junior Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing bills of quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documents.
• Support in cost planning and control throughout project life cycles.
• Conduct site measurements and prepare valuation reports for ongoing works.
• Assist in preparing interim and final payment certificates for contractors and suppliers.
• Participate in contract administration and documentation.
• Support procurement processes, including sourcing, cost analysis, and vendor evaluation.
• Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and variations.
• Prepare reports on material usage, labor costs, and project progress.
• Collaborate with site engineers and project managers to ensure accurate quantity take-offs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the quantity surveyor or project manager.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience in a construction or civil engineering environment.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g. CostX, QS CAD, or similar).
• Good understanding of construction contracts and project cost management principles.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Membership or student membership of NIQS or another relevant professional body is an advantage.
