Health and Science Journalist

Responsibilities:

• Research, investigate, and report on energy and environmental topics, including oil & gas, renewable energy, climate change, and sustainability
• Produce high-quality news articles, features, analyses, and opinion pieces
• Monitor industry trends, government policies, and environmental regulations
• Cover developments in power generation, energy transition, and environmental impact projects
• Conduct interviews with industry experts, policymakers, environmentalists, and stakeholders
• Analyze data, reports, and statistics to produce insightful and accurate content
• Attend industry events, conferences, and field assignments when required
• Ensure all content adheres to journalistic standards of accuracy, balance, and integrity
• Collaborate with editors and multimedia teams to enhance storytelling
• Apply SEO strategies and digital tools to maximize audience reach

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field
• Proven experience as a journalist or reporter.
• Strong understanding of energy systems (oil & gas, renewables, power sector) and environmental issues
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Strong research and analytical abilities
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments
• Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems (CMS)
• Knowledge of SEO and social media content strategies
