Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and interpret
contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Advise management on corporate
governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management issues.
- Conduct legal research and provide
recommendations on company operations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure the company’s activities comply
with relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
- Represent the company in negotiations,
meetings, or correspondences with external parties when required.
- Manage and maintain the company’s
legal files, records, and confidential documents.
- Liaise with external counsel,
regulatory agencies, and government authorities when necessary.
- Support internal teams (HR, Finance, Operations, etc.) on matters that require legal input.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B); a
call to the Nigerian Bar (B.L) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ post-call
experience in corporate or commercial law.
- Strong knowledge of company law,
contract law, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
- High level of integrity,
confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and
legal research tools.
- Strong negotiation and analytical
skills.
- Ability to draft clear, precise, and
concise legal documents.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving
ability.
- Good interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
