Green Tree Playhouse is seeking a versatile EYFS Teacher to join our team. We are looking for an educator who understands the magic of the "Early Years" and is ready to deliver a world-class curriculum rooted in Nigerian heritage and global best practices.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Deliver engaging, play-based learning across the 7 areas of EYFS (2025 Framework).
- Implement systematic synthetic phonics to build strong early readers.
- Maintain high-quality learning journals and data-driven progress records.
- Foster a classroom culture built on our CHERIO values and African cultural identity.
- Collaborate across the EYFS and Primary departments to ensure seamless transitions.
Requirements:
- B.Ed, NCE, or PGDE in Early Childhood/Primary Education
- At least 2 years in an EYFS setting (Nursery or Reception).
- Deep familiarity with the EYFS Statutory Framework 2025 and the DfE Reading Framework.
- You are adaptable, proactive, and excited by the challenge of a growing school. You don't just "teach a class"—you contribute to an institution.
- Expertise in the EYFS 2025 Framework and the 7 areas of learning
- Proficiency in Systematic Synthetic Phonics (SSP)
- Mastery of observation-based assessment and digital learning journals
- Deep understanding of safeguarding and the Child Rights Act 2003
- Exceptional administrative rigor in record-keeping and documentation
- Operational adaptability to move between year groups as the school grows
- Ability to integrate Nigerian heritage into a British curriculum
- proactive, solution-oriented mindset with high emotional intelligence for parent engagement.
