Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in compliance with regulations.
- Inspect electrical components, wiring, and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to execute installations and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines, codes, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and maintenance staff on electrical projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and repairs completed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of proven experience as an Electrical Technician
- Practical knowledge in electrical systems and components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and using electrical tools, testing equipment, and hand tools.
- Strong ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues effectively.
- Familiarity with national and local electrical codes and standards.
- Understanding of electrical safety procedures and best practices.
- Clear communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and supervisors.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, or in challenging environments.
- Stamina to stand, kneel, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
