Job Summary

We seek an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead projects from initiation to completion, combining engineering expertise with project management skills. Candidates must be Chartered Engineers (CEng) and Project Management Professionals (PMP). An ideal candidate will combine analytical rigor with practical expertise.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage construction projects ensuring completion within budget, scope, and on schedule.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, milestones, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure all project specifications and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, addressing any issues that arise to keep projects on track.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to construction standards.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate project risks.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and challenges to stakeholders, including clients and upper management.
  • Prepare detailed budget estimates and track project expenditures, ensuring financial control.
  • Oversee procurement processes for construction materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and recommend improvements for future projects.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in construction project management, specifically in real estate or commercial projects.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale projects from initiation to completion.
  • Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and fostering collaboration.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the capability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions and make strategic decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders across all levels.
  • In-depth understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A master's degree in a relevant field would be an added advantage
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification is essential.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
