Responsibilities:
- Constructs, installs, repairs, and maintains wooden structures, furniture, and fixtures in homes, offices, and construction sites.
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing materials
- Interpreting blueprints and ensuring quality workmanship.
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE or vocational training in carpentry (advantageous)
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience as a carpenter or similar role
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques and use of hand/power tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team
- Apprenticeship or relevant certification is a plus
- Proficiency in measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other materials
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, joinery, and finishing
- Accurate measurement and mathematical skills
- Good physical strength, stamina, and hand-eye coordination
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Basic knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and site safety practices
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
