Job Summary
A reputable IATA-accredited travel agency on the Island needs a Business Travel Sales Consultant. A Travel Consultant is a professional who plans a vacation. You will help clients find their desired vacation. Your duties include matching clients to select locations and vacation hubs they'll enjoy and listing activities that they can do while on vacation

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Plan and sell transportation, accommodations, insurance and other travel services
- Cooperate with clients to determine their needs and advise them of appropriate destinations, modes of transportation, travel dates, costs and accommodations
- Provide relevant information, brochures and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events etc) to travellers
- Book transportation, make hotel reservations and collect payment/fees
- Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages
- Deal with occurring travel problems, complaints or refunds
- Attend travel seminars to remain updated with tourism trends
- Enter data into our software and maintain client files
- Network with tour operators
- Maintain statistical and financial records
- Meet profit and sales targets
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism or Business management
- Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience as a Travel Agent/Consultant
- Excellent knowledge of computer reservations systems, GDS systems and e-travelling
- Fluency in English and a native language.
- Visa Application Knowledge.
- Strong sales skills and commercial awareness
- Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively
- Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends
- Held a similar position in previous employment.
- Good negotiation skills and relationships with various airlines.
- GDS experience– Amadeus, Galileo and Sabre will be an added advantage.
- Excellent customer service and client management skills.
- Overall travel knowledge.
- Proficiency in ticket issuance (Issue & Re-issue of tickets).
- Possess a good contact base with tour companies (Local and International).
- Possess good visa application knowledge.
