Business Development Executive
Job summary
We are looking for a high-impact Business Development Executive (Project-Based Contractor) to lead our Q1 physical outreach and onboarding campaign on a contract basis. You are responsible for reaching out to school executives and directors at elite schools in Lagos, securing boardroom demonstrations, and closing the agreement to secure the pilot phase onboarding.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Physical "High-Value" Outreach: Execute the physical delivery of branded proposals to Tier-1 schools in Lekki, VI, and Ikoyi. The primary objective is to move from initial contact to a confirmed onboarding commitment following a successful demonstration.
- Secure Onboarding & Closing: Lead the conversion of school leads into signed pilot partners. This includes securing the initial commitment for the 1-3 bus pilot phase and ensuring the School Director/Proprietor is ready to sign the SLA.
- Documentation Facilitation: Assist in the initial "Starter Pack" handoff. You are responsible for ensuring the school provides the preliminary contact information and logistics overview required to trigger the Week 1 onboarding process.
- Lead Generation & Appointment Setting: Secure a minimum of 3 "On-Site Demonstration" appointments per week with key decision-makers (Transport Managers, Directors, or Principals).
- Pipeline & Relationship Management: Maintain a rigorous log of all school interactions and follow-ups, ensuring no high-tier lead is lost during the 3-month campaign cycle.
- Professional Carriage: Exceptional appearance and the ability to speak the language of elite school administrators and proprietors.
- Closing Grit: 2+ years of experience in high-end B2B sales, corporate relationship management, or educational sector marketing in Lagos.
- Local Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the Lekki-Ajah corridor and the operating cycles of private schools.
- Communication: Highly persuasive verbal skills. You must be able to articulate the value of "Student Safety in Transportation, Operational Efficiency, and Data Privacy" in a compelling boardroom pitch.
- To align with our phased growth strategy, this is a contract position with a performance-heavy pay structure:
- Monthly Base Retainer: Negotiable
- Onboarding Success Fee: A significant commission paid per signed & secured 3-bus pilot program.
- Contract Renewal: At the end of the 3-month term, the contract may be paused or renewed based on the company's operational capacity to onboard new schools without compromising service quality.
