The Senior Retail Manager is responsible for the overall performance, operations, and growth of all Shroom retail outlets. This role ensures that every store delivers an exceptional wellness retail experience while achieving revenue, operational, and brand excellence targets. The position oversees store managers, retail staff, and juice bar teams, ensuring consistent standards in customer service, merchandising, hygiene, product knowledge, and sales execution across all locations. The Senior Retail Manager will also play a key role in scaling the Shroom retail network, improving store profitability, and translating the brand’s wellness philosophy into a premium in-store experience.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
Retail Operations Leadership:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all Shroom wellness stores.
  • Supervise and support store managers and store teams across locations.
  • Ensure stores operate efficiently, profitably, and according to company standards.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for retail operations.
  • Conduct regular store visits, operational audits, and performance reviews.

Sales & Revenue Growth:
  • Drive sales growth across all retail locations.
  • Set and monitor monthly revenue targets for each store.
  • Implement in-store sales strategies to increase: product sales, juice bar orders, average transaction value
  • Develop strategies to increase customer repeat purchases and loyalty
  • Monitor daily sales performance and implement corrective actions where needed.

Brand Experience & Customer Service:
  • Ensure all stores deliver a premium wellness retail experience aligned with the Shroom brand.
  • Train teams on customer engagement, product education, and wellness consultations.
  • Ensure consistent visual merchandising and store presentation standards.
  • Maintain strong customer satisfaction and handle escalated customer concerns.

Store Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise store managers and retail staff.
  • Develop high-performing retail teams through coaching and mentorship.
  • Conduct regular staff performance evaluations.
  • Ensure staff maintain excellent product knowledge across all Shroom products.

Inventory & Merchandising Management:
  • Oversee inventory management across all stores.
  • Prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Ensure correct product display and shelf merchandising.
  • Monitor product rotation and shelf life.
  • Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to maintain adequate stock levels

Juice Bar Operations:
  • Oversee juice bar operations in each location.
  • Ensure quality standards for smoothies, juices, and wellness beverages.
  • Maintain hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Optimize menu performance and pricing strategies

Marketing & Store Activation:
  • Implement in-store marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team for product launches and seasonal campaigns.
  • Drive local store activations such as: tasting events, wellness education sessions, and customer engagement programs.

Financial & Operational Performance:
  • Monitor store profitability, expenses, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage store operating budgets
  • Analyze sales reports, product performance, and customer trends.
  • Identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce waste.

Compliance & Standards:
  • Ensure stores comply with all regulatory requirements including: NAFDAC retail standards, hygiene and food safety protocols, and company operational guidelines.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
The Senior Retail Manager will be evaluated based on:
  • Total retail revenue growth
  • Same-store sales growth
  • Average transaction value
  • Customer satisfaction ratings
  • Inventory accuracy and stock turnover
  • Staff performance and retention
  • Store profitability

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years experience in retail management.
  • Minimum 3 years managing multiple retail locations.
  • Experience in wellness, health food, or premium retail brands is strongly preferred.
