Business Development Manager
Job summary
The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth, client acquisition, and strategic partnerships. The position requires a good understanding of design, fabrication, and event delivery workflows, combined with commerce within the events, brand experience, exhibitions, and experiential build space.

Responsibilities:
- Business Growth & Revenue Generation:
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities across events, exhibitions, brand activations, and experiential builds.
- Convert qualified leads into signed projects through proposals, negotiations, and closing.
- Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Track and manage sales pipelines and forecasts.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, event planners, and brand managers.
- Serve as the primary commercial point of contact from lead generation through project award.
- Conduct client presentations, pitch sessions, and capability showcases.
- Ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business.
Proposal, Pitch & Tender Management:
- Lead the preparation of proposals, quotations, bids, and pitch documents in collaboration with design, production, and project teams.
- Ensure commercial accuracy, clarity of scope, pricing alignment, and profitability.
- Participate actively in pitch presentations and client negotiations.
Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities in the experiential and events industry.
- Provide management with insights on pricing trends, client demands, and new service opportunities.
- Support the development of business development strategies aligned with Urban Cycle’s growth objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with designers, project managers, production teams, and vendors to ensure feasible and profitable project delivery.
- Translate client briefs into clear commercial and operational requirements.
- Support project handover from sales to delivery teams to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and expectations.
Account Management & Business Retention:
- Manage key accounts and long-term client relationships.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across services such as stage sets, event booths, signage, and installations.
- Ensure contract renewals and ongoing client engagement.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare regular business development reports, including pipeline status, closed deals, and revenue projections.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, and contracts.
- Support finance and management with documentation for invoicing, contracts, and performance reviews.
Requirements:
- Minimum of BSc in related discipline
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience
