Job summary

The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading and executing all marketing activities for the Shroom brand across retail stores, digital platforms, and brand activations. The role focuses on building strong brand awareness, driving customer traffic to Shroom wellness stores, increasing product sales, and expanding the brand’s reach both online and offline. This position oversees all marketing channels, including social media, influencer partnerships, retail campaigns, product launches, wellness events, and digital marketing, ensuring that all activities align with the Shroom brand identity and revenue goals The Marketing Manager will also coordinate closely with retail operations to ensure marketing initiatives directly translate into store traffic, customer engagement, and sales growth.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Brand Growth:
  • Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy for Shroom.
  • Build and strengthen the Shroom brand as a leading wellness brand in Nigeria.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns that drive store traffic and product sales.
  • Identify new opportunities for brand visibility and partnerships.
  • Ensure all marketing initiatives align with the company’s growth objectives.

Digital Marketing & Online Presence:
  • Oversee all digital platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, the website, and Email marketing, WhatsApp marketing
  • Manage social media content calendars and campaigns.
  • Develop engaging digital content, including reels, educational posts, and wellness tips.
  • Monitor analytics and optimize campaigns for engagement and conversions.
  • Work with designers and content creators to produce high-quality digital assets.

Retail Marketing & Store Activations:
  • Design and execute in-store promotions and marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate retail activations such as product tastings, wellness workshops, sampling campaigns, seasonal promotions. 
  • Ensure stores are properly branded with promotional materials.
  • Work with the retail operations team to increase customer traffic and in-store sales.

Influencer & Partnership Marketing:
  • Identify and manage relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors.
  • Plan influencer campaigns that drive awareness and store visits.
  • Collaborate with wellness professionals, gyms, and health communities.
  • Manage collaborations with lifestyle brands and wellness organizations.

Product Launch Campaigns:
  • Develop marketing campaigns for new product launches.
  • Coordinate cross-channel promotions for new products.
  • Create launch materials, including social media campaigns and promotional displays, in-store materials, and influencer partnerships.

Content & Brand Storytelling:
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Develop storytelling content around wellness education, product benefits, ingredient sourcing, and healthy lifestyle tips.
  • Maintain high-quality brand visuals and communication.

Marketing Campaign Management:
  • Plan and manage marketing campaigns throughout the year.
  • Coordinate seasonal promotions such as holiday campaigns, wellness challenges, detox programs, and special events.
  • Track campaign performance and adjust strategies to maximize impact.

Marketing Analytics & Performance Tracking:
  • Monitor key marketing performance indicators, including store traffic, campaign ROI, social media growth, and conversion rates.
  • Generate regular reports on marketing performance.
  • Use data insights to improve marketing effectiveness.

Team & Vendor Management:
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, including graphic designers, content creators, advertising agencies, and event organizers.
  • Coordinate marketing team members and freelancers.
  • Ensure all marketing projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
The Marketing Manager will be evaluated based on:
  • Growth in store foot traffic
  • Increase in retail sales driven by marketing campaigns
  • Social media growth and engagement
  • Influencer campaign performance
  • Customer acquisition cost
  • Campaign return on investment (ROI)
  • Brand awareness and visibility.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in marketing, preferably in retail, wellness, or consumer products.
  • Experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in digital marketing and social media strategy.
