Job summary
We are a growing digital marketing agency working with clients across multiple sectors and markets. We are building a talented, remote-first team of creative professionals and are looking for an exceptional writer and content creator to join us as a freelance subcontractor. This is not a single-client brief. You will work across a portfolio of clients simultaneously, producing both short-form social media content and long-form written copy, switching between brand voices, platforms, and formats with confidence and consistency. Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Write professionally crafted short-form content for LinkedIn and Instagram posts, captions, carousels, and ad copy tailored to each client's brand voice and target audience.
- Produce long-form written content, including SEO-optimised blog posts, thought leadership articles, LinkedIn long-form articles, and website copy.
- Develop monthly content calendars per client, organising topics, formats, and posting schedules across all assigned channels.
- Build and maintain content pillars for each client, the strategic themes that underpin all content produced.
- Write copy for paid social ad campaigns on LinkedIn and Instagram, ensuring clarity, relevance, and conversion focus.
- Submit all content for internal review and client approval via ClickUp or similar software, incorporating feedback promptly and professionally.
- Manage community engagement, monitoring and responding to comments and direct messages in a timely, on-brand manner.
- Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to all long-form content using SurferSEO.
- Proofread and quality-check all written content, your own and that of other team members, before submission.
- Contribute creative ideas and strategic input to quarterly content strategy reviews
- Stay current with platform trends, algorithm changes, and content formats across LinkedIn and Instagram.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of professional writing experience in a marketing, agency, or content production environment
- A strong, demonstrable portfolio of short-form social media content, specifically LinkedIn and Instagram
- A strong, demonstrable portfolio of long-form content, blog posts, articles, or thought leadership pieces.
- Proven experience managing content for multiple clients or brands simultaneously.
- Experience developing content strategies, content pillars, and monthly content calendars.
- Experience writing for both B2B and B2C audiences across different sectors and tones.
- Experience producing copy for paid social ad campaigns
- Solid understanding of SEO principles, you write with search intent in mind, not as an afterthought.
- Experience working independently and remotely, meeting deadlines without close supervision.
