WordPress Developer

Responsibilities:

• Build clean, engaging, and functional WordPress sites from end to end (install and update WordPress, themes, and plugins) and troubleshoot functional issues.
• Communicate effectively in written English with excellent grammar and clarity. While we leverage AI tools daily, you must be able to communicate and document clearly without relying on AI.
• Prioritise and respond to client support requests promptly and professionally.
• Perform regular website maintenance tasks (malware scans, Google Analytics monitoring, plugin and theme updates, page speed optimisation) and generate insightful reports for clients.
• Manage DNS settings (Nameservers, CNAME, A, MX records).
• Handle website backups and migrations (via FTP and plugins like All-in-One WP Migration, UpdraftPlus).
• Manage cPanel and WHM (PHP version control, File Manager, phpMyAdmin, SSL certificate installation and activation, and SMTP email routing).

Requirements:

• Are highly disciplined and capable of managing your time and deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Have a strong eye for detail. This means your websites dot every “i” and cross every “t.”
• Possess excellent writing and communication skills (clear grammar, proper tense usage).
• Are proficient in WordPress, HTML, and CSS. Familiarity with PHP, JavaScript, or other programming languages is a plus.
• Are comfortable with cPanel and WHM management (including email account setup, storage optimisation, DNS management, and email routing).
• Are eager to learn continuously and strive for excellence, not just task completion.
• Have working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA) and Google Search Console (GSC).
• SEO proficiency is a strong plus.
• Branding and Creative Design proficiency is a strong plus.
