Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Lead complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics using modern diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Perform and supervise high-level repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension, and braking systems.
- Oversee routine and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles meet manufacturer and safety standards.
- Conduct post-repair inspections, testing, and road tests to confirm repair accuracy and vehicle performance.
- Prepare accurate estimates for repairs, parts, and labour.
- Clearly explain technical issues, repair options, and recommendations to customers.
- Guide junior technicians, offer technical support, and uphold workshop standards.
Requirements:
- HND or B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2- 5 years’ hands-on experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Demonstrated expertise in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and customer-friendly approach.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior staff.
