Warehouse Stock Keeper (Furniture & Fittings)
Job summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Stock Keeper to manage inventory operations in a furniture and fittings warehouse located at Alaba International Market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, monitoring stock movement, and ensuring proper documentation and storage of goods.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods
- Maintain accurate manual stock records (stock cards/bin cards)
- Issue goods based on approved documentation
- Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies
- Conduct periodic physical stock counts (weekly/monthly)
- Track damaged or returned items
- Ensure proper storage and warehouse organization
- Coordinate with the Accountant for inventory reconciliation
- Maintain proper documentation (GRN, Waybills, Issue Notes)
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or inventory-related role
- Experience in furniture, fittings, building materials, or a similar warehouse environment is an advantage
- Good understanding of manual inventory systems
- Basic numerical and record-keeping skills
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Physically fit and able to handle warehouse operations
- Must reside within reasonable proximity to Alaba International Market
