Warehouse Packager

Responsibilties:

• Receive and review orders to determine the items, quantities, and specifications for packaging
• Based on the size, shape, and fragility of the products, select appropriate packaging materials, such as boxes, cartons, and bubble wrap.
• Inspect products for any damage or defects before packaging.
• Pack products carefully and securely to prevent damage during transit.
• Seal packages using tape, glue, staples, or other appropriate sealing methods.
• Ensure all packages are correctly labeled, sealed, and meet quality standards before shipment.
• Verify the accuracy of each order by comparing the packed items with the order details.
• Operate packaging equipment, such as tape dispensers, sealing machines, label printers, and scales, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including packaging stations and storage areas.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe operation of equipment.
• Collaborate with other warehouse staff, such as pickers, packers, and shippers, to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock management as needed.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE Certificate
• Previous experience in a warehouse or packaging environment is preferred, but may not be required for entry-level positions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, lift, and carry items weighing up to [specify weight, e.g., 25-50 pounds], and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packaging and labeling.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle products and packaging materials.
• Good communication skills to understand instructions and communicate with team members.
• Basic math skills to count, measure, and calculate quantities.
• Ability to maintain an organized work area and manage packaging materials efficiently.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to adapt to changing tasks and work volumes.
