Job summary
The Video Editor will be critical in shaping Momentum Africa’s storytelling by transforming raw footage into polished, engaging, and visually impactful content. This role requires strong technical editing skills, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality videos for campaigns, documentaries, social media, and client projects.

Responsibilities:
- Edit raw footage into compelling and audience-ready videos for campaigns, events, social media, and documentaries.
- Incorporate effects, graphics, sound design, subtitles, and animations to strengthen storytelling.
- Collaborate closely with Content Creators, Graphic Designers, and Account Managers to align video outputs with campaign objectives.
- Maintain consistency with Momentum Africa’s brand identity and production standards.
- Manage video archives and ensure organised storage for easy retrieval.
- Meet tight deadlines and deliver outputs that exceed quality expectations.
- Continuously seek creative ways to innovate and improve video editing outputs.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of hands-on video editing experience, preferably in media, advertising, communications, or agency environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Film Production, Media, Communications, or a related field (preferred, not mandatory).
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro.
- Basic sound editing and colour grading skills.
- Familiarity with motion graphics and simple animation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Creative problem-solving and ability to tell compelling stories through visuals.
- Excellent time management; ability to deliver under pressure.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Portfolio of past work (non-negotiable requirement).
- Evidence of producing content for diverse audiences, ideally including African markets.
- Energetic, innovative, and open to feedback.
- Integrity and accountability in all deliverables.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and industry standards.
- Respectful, team-oriented, and committed to collaboration.
- Passionate about storytelling that drives social and cultural impact across Africa.

Remuneration: NGN 250,000 - 350,000
