Digital Storytelling & Content Lead
Job summary
This is a hands-on, hybrid role for a creative who enjoys both strategy and execution. As the Digital Storytelling & Content Lead (Social Media), you will own Onyx Network Media’s social content and digital presence end-to-end. This includes shaping content strategy, producing and editing social-first content, and designing platform-ready assets.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end planning, creation, editing, and publishing of social-first content for Onyx Network Media across relevant platforms.
- Own Onyx’s social media presence, including content strategy, publishing workflow, performance tracking, and optimisation.
- Create original content and direct the production of new social assets, including coordinating BTS capture during shoots and campaigns.
- Repurpose long-form productions (films, BTS, interviews, documentaries, commercial work) into high-performing short-form social content.
- Edit video content using CapCut (or similar tools) and design platform-ready visual assets using Canva in line with brand guidelines.
- Develop and execute platform-specific content strategies that support brand positioning, audience growth, partnerships, and revenue objectives.
- Shape storytelling, hooks, pacing, captions, and visual language for platform-native performance.
- Monitor analytics and performance metrics, produce monthly performance reports, and iterate content based on data and audience behaviour.
- Lead digital marketing efforts for both client-facing campaigns and in-house productions, including film releases and major announcements.
- Stay deeply plugged into social platform behaviour, trends, and digital culture, translating insights into creative strategy.
- Collaborate with the Growth & Partnerships Lead and production teams to align content with commercial and brand objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media content creation, digital marketing, content production, or a related role.
- Demonstrated experience managing social media pages end-to-end (strategy, creation, editing, publishing, analytics).
- Strong hands-on skills in short-form video editing (CapCut or similar tools) and social design (Canva or similar tools).
- Strong storytelling instincts with a deep understanding of platform-native content formats.
- Comfortable working in lean, fast-moving teams and taking ownership of outcomes.
- Background in film, media, digital culture, or creative industries is an advantage.
- A degree in a related field is optional; a strong portfolio and proven results are more important.
