Job Summary

We are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, bottom-line driven, customer-centric, sales-focused professional to support the Board and Directors in executing a fit-for-purpose strategy to facilitate PriVida’s long-term growth and profitability. This role is ideal for bold, curious minds eager to move beyond theory into building the systems that power Africa’s future. The Graduate Engineering Trainee program at PriVida Power Limited is a high-impact, hands-on learning experience designed to shape the next generation of energy leaders. This role offers an immersive and rigorous development pathway aimed at producing well-rounded professionals equipped to thrive across multiple dimensions of the renewable energy value chain. Trainees will undergo structured rotations and real-world exposure that build deep capability in engineering design, field operations, financial modelling, 3D design, artificial intelligence applications, systems analysis, construction, and light manufacturing. Working under the guidance of experienced mentors, each trainee will be empowered to apply engineering principles, data-driven decision-making, and digital tools to design and deliver clean energy solutions that are both scalable and sustainable. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the development and delivery of PriVida’s business plan in Nigeria with a key emphasis on ensuring cost effective route to market strategies, robust operational and sales management systems and effective cost control guided by principles of prudence and personal integrity. The candidate must have the ability and interpersonal skills to engage, collaborate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, suppliers, and government agencies, customers, funders and collaborators and especially in relation to variables that impact business performance. A strong candidate for the role will be expected to have strong flair for numbers as well as possess strong writing, presentation and communication skills.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Gathers, interprets, and uses complex data to develop actionable steps for  Renewable Energy projects. 
  • Develop and design of Renewable Energy Solution. 
  • Preparation of technical and electrical designs and documents. 
  • Application of software and other web-based design tools such as Helioscope, Odyssey,  PVsyst, Homer, AutoCAD, etc. 
  • Review electrical designs and line diagrams 
  • Review electrical audit documents 
  • Management of existing projects and customer database. 
  • Follow-up and closing out of current proposals. 
  • Write business proposals and reports for assigned projects 
  • Carry out site assessments 
  • Deliver financial/economic model and other tools to support the effective delivery of PriVida’s Business Plan. 
  • Deliver annual business plan and corporate performance targets/goals and delivery actions  (in conjunction with finance, sales/marketing and technical teams). 
  • Monitor WIP and Receivable targets whilst ensuring achievement 
  • Prepare presentation packs for engaging customers. 
  • Conduct in-depth research on renewable energy solutions on behalf of PriVida ▪ Prepare presentation packs for engaging customers and marketing PriVida’s suit  of solutions 
  • Support the Board on strategic matters that may arise from time to time. 


Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (B.Eng/B.Tech) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related disciplines. 
  • 0–2 years post-NYSC experience (NYSC completion is mandatory).
  • Strong academic record and eagerness to work in the renewable energy space. 
  • Good understanding of basic electrical engineering principles and interest in solar  PV technology. 
  • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. 
  • Willingness to travel and work in rural project locations. 
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant products, services, equipment, solutions,  customers, suppliers, etc.
  • Strong Presentation Skills and excellent skills in the use of MS PowerPoint,  Project Management, Excel and Database Management 
  • Ability to use any of the listed software or platforms is a plus; Homer, Helioscope, Odyssey,  AutoCAD and PVsyst. 
  • Strong communication and excellent writing skills. 
  • Attention to detail to follow diagrams and instructions. 
  • Ability to develop and interpret Single Line Diagrams. 
  • Certification in Solar Design or Renewable Energy Solution is a plus. 
  • Certification in Project Management is a plus. 
  • Track Record of Sales and Marketing and P&L responsibility, and clear evidence of commercial input to problems, especially contracting, a plus. 
  • An MBA or M.Sc. from a good business school is a plus. 
  • Certifications or additional qualifications in Strategy, Business Development, Sales, and Marketing will be added advantage

  • Assist with the design and implementation of solar mini-grids, standalone solar systems, and productive-use energy solutions. 
  • Support site surveys, load assessments, technical feasibility studies, and installation work under the supervision of experienced engineers. 
  • Collaborate with field teams on performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of system faults. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across all projects. 


Remuneration: NGN 100,000 including Pension contribution, HMO and other allowances are applicable to this role
