A Tailor is responsible for designing, altering, repairing, and fitting garments according to customer specifications or standard measurements. The role requires precision, creativity, and strong sewing skills to produce high-quality clothing that meets client expectations.

Responsibilities:
- Take accurate body measurements of clients
- Cut, sew, and assemble garments based on patterns or custom designs
- Alter and repair clothing (e.g., hemming, resizing, patching)
- Fit garments on clients and make necessary adjustments
- Interpret fashion designs and adapt them into finished products
- Select appropriate fabrics, threads, and materials
- Maintain sewing machines and other tailoring equipment
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Communicate with clients to understand their preferences and requirements
- Meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Requirements:
- Minimum of secondary school education (formal training in tailoring/fashion design is an advantage)
- Proven experience as a tailor or seamstress
- Proficiency in hand and machine sewing
- Knowledge of garment construction and pattern making
- Ability to use sewing machines, cutting tools, and pressing equipment
- Understanding of different fabrics and textiles
- Attention to detail
- Creativity and fashion sense
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines

- Physical stamina (standing for long periods)
