Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed structural designs and drawings using relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, Orion, etc.)
• Conduct structural analysis and ensure the integrity, strength, and durability of buildings and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineers to develop design solutions.
• Review and approve structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Monitor construction progress to ensure structures are built according to approved plans and safety standards.
• Inspect existing structures and provide recommendations for strengthening, retrofitting, or repairs.
• Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental impact requirements.
• Participate in site meetings, inspections, and quality control processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's is an advantage).
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in structural design and construction supervision.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD Pro, Orion, Prokon, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian and international building codes and standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Membership with COREN, NSE, or other relevant professional bodies (preferred or required, depending on your needs).
