Job Title: Structural Engineer
Location: Lagos
Job Purpose (Job Summary)

• To design, analyze, and oversee the construction of safe, efficient, and cost-effective structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects.
• The Structural Engineer ensures that all structural designs meet required standards, support project objectives, and align with architectural and engineering specifications.
  

Key Responsibilities / Duties

• Develop detailed structural designs and analyses for various types of buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Autodesk Robot, Prota Structures, and Revit to produce precise, efficient, and coordinated structural models and drawings.
• Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural components with overall project designs.
• Provide technical guidance and support during all phases of the project — from conceptual design to final construction.
• Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and standards, including local and international requirements.
• Stay informed of industry developments, standards, and innovations, applying them to improve design quality and efficiency.
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculation reports.
• Present design concepts and technical solutions to clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct structural assessments, site inspections, and integrity verifications during and after construction to ensure compliance and safety.
• Perform quality control checks on drawings, models, and calculations to guarantee accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve design issues, value engineer solutions, and optimize structural efficiency.
