Business Development Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations, including order processing, inventory coordination, and logistics for fresh produce and bulk groceries.
• Implement strategies to reduce order fulfillment time by 15% without compromising quality.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and bulk buyers, ensuring timely deliveries and resolving issues proactively.
• Monitor freshness, packaging, and pricing of produce/groceries to meet customer expectations and minimize waste.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers/buyers, negotiate bulk deals, and collaborate with marketing to expand our customer base.
• Track KPIs (fulfillment speed, customer retention, supplier performance) and recommend process improvements.
• Work closely with logistics, customer support, and tech teams to align operations with business goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 2+ years in business development, e-commerce, or operations, preferably in fresh produce, groceries, or group buying.
• Proven ability to optimize processes (e.g., reduced fulfillment timelines, improved supplier turnaround).
• Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with agricultural supply chains.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, Excel/Google Sheets, and data-driven decision-making.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a startup or marketplace platform.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and perishable inventory management.

Performance Goal:

• Achieve a 15% reduction in order fulfillment time within 6 months through process improvements and vendor coordination.
