Job Summary
The Arc Welder is responsible for welding and fabricating metal parts using electric arc welding techniques. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, preparing materials, operating welding equipment, and ensuring all welds meet quality and safety standards.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Perform arc welding to join, repair, or fabricate metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
- Prepare and clean materials before welding.
- Set up and operate welding machines and tools.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, defects, and quality compliance.
- Maintain welding equipment and report malfunctions.
Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE. - Assist in metal cutting, grinding, and fitting tasks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the fabrication or construction team.
Requirements:
- SSCE/OND or relevant technical certification.
- Proven experience as an arc welder or similar role.
- Welding certification (advantageous but not mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of arc welding techniques (SMAW).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good hand–eye coordination and steady hands.
- Knowledge of metal properties and fabrication processes.
- Ability to identify welding defects and correct them.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in heat or outdoor environments.
- Commitment to safety standards and PPE usage.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
