Laundry and Dry Cleaning Personnel

• Receive, sort, and tag customer garments and linens for laundry or dry-cleaning processing.
• Inspect items for stains, tears, missing buttons, or special care instructions before cleaning.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, dry-cleaning units, steamers, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Treat stains using appropriate chemicals and methods based on fabric type.
• Select the correct cleaning programs and chemical quantities for various fabrics and levels of soil.
• Press, iron, steam, or finish garments to the required standards.
• Ensure items are neatly folded, packaged, and prepared for customer pickup or delivery.
• Maintain daily cleaning logs, machine checklists, and quality control records.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Notify supervisors of machine malfunctions, fabric damage, or customer issues.
• Provide friendly customer service when interacting with clients regarding special requests or questions.

Requirements:

• Experience in laundry or dry-cleaning operations (preferred but not always required).
• Knowledge of fabric types, stain removal techniques, and chemical handling.
• Ability to operate laundry and dry-cleaning machines safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify garment defects.
• Good physical stamina; able to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
• Time-management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic communication and customer service skills.
