Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and creative Social Media Manager to join our team. The Social Media Manager will build a social media presence for our brand, create and deliver high-quality original content, drive engagement, develop and run advertising campaigns. The Social Media Manager will also engage influencers and manage our community.

AVOO is an e-commerce multi-brand platform created to be a destination for ready-to-wear clothing by African designers. We make clothing by African designers easily and readily accessible whilst celebrating African creativity.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and manage social media strategy

  • Define the important social media KPIs

  • Oversee, plan, deliver and manage content across multiple platforms 

  • Amplify and maintain a solid online presence across all of the Company’s social media channels (Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Tiktok and YouTube etc.)

  • Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels and adapting content to suit the different channels 

  • Create engaging multimedia content across multiple platforms

  • Develop, launch and manage competitions and campaigns that promote the brand

  • Form key relationships with influencers and content creators 

  • Manage and facilitate social media communities and foster engagement across all social media platforms 

  • Monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics, Instagram Insights

  • Monitor the company’s brand on social media

  • Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity

  • Analyse competitor activity

  • Set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement and recommend improvements to increase performance

  • Analyse data to determine whether social media campaigns have achieved their goals and objectives

  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies


Job Requirement:

  • Proven work experience as a social media manager

  • Excellent knowledge of social media channels

  • Experience in content management

  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)

  • Experience designing and creating visual content 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Analytical and multitasking skills

  • Excellent copywriting skills

  • Experience utilising tools and technology to create and deploy content

  • Proven ability to build social media communities.

  • Creative mindset

  • Leadership skill
