Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop secure, high-performance financial applications and services.
• Maintain and enhance existing systems and infrastructure.
• Build real-time payment solutions, banking workflows, and merchant onboarding systems.
• Integrate APIs with banks and financial institutions.
• Break down technical tasks, manage time effectively, and deliver projects independently.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS) and company best practices.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with transaction processing and API integrations in fintech or banking.
• Solid system design, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and secure coding practices.
• Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in Java with experience in the Spring Boot framework.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AW, SGCP, or Azure).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to consistently deliver high-quality products with zero defects on the first attempt.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g,. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
