IT Financial Accountant

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze financial data to support business decisions.
• Monitor revenue streams from IT services, software, or subscriptions.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Develop and manage budgets for IT projects and departments.
• Forecast future financial performance.
• Track actual spend vs budget (especially for tech projects).

Cost Management:

• Monitor operational costs (software licenses, cloud services, infrastructure).
• Identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Allocate costs to different IT projects or departments.

Accounts Management:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Process invoices, vendor payments, and client billing.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial records.

Compliance & Audit:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Prepare for internal and external audits.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation.

Payroll & Taxation:

• Process staff salaries and benefits.
• Handle tax filings and statutory obligations.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws.

IT Project Financial Support:

• Work closely with project managers to track project costs.
• Provide financial insights on project profitability.
• Evaluate ROI (Return on Investment) for IT initiatives.

Financial Systems & Tools:

• Use accounting software and ERP systems.
• Support integration of financial systems with IT platforms.
• Value to an IT Company.
• Ensures financial transparency and accountability.
• Helps control costs in tech-heavy environments.
• Supports strategic decisions with financial insights.
• Improves the profitability of IT projects and services.

Requirements:

• Minimum BSc.
• 3 years of previous experience in a similar role.
