Trainee Chartist

Responsibilities:

• Analyze commodity price charts (candlestick, line, bar charts) to identify trends, support, and resistance levels.
• Apply technical indicators such as moving averages, RSI, MACD, and Bollinger Bands to generate trading insights.
• Monitor commodity market movements daily and report significant price changes and trends.
• Assist senior traders in developing and executing trading strategies.
• Prepare daily or weekly technical analysis reports for internal use.
• Maintain accurate records of price movements, patterns, and trading outcomes.
• Stay updated on global commodity news, market trends, and economic events affecting commodity prices.
• Continuously learn new charting techniques, tools, and trading strategies.
• Support risk management by identifying potential volatility and trading risks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in quantitative disciplines, including: Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, Engineering (all disciplines), Physics or Applied Physics, Economics or Econometric Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative fields.
• 1-2 years of experience in analytical, research, or data-driven roles
• Demonstrated track record of working with quantitative analysis
• Experience with data interpretation and pattern recognition preferred.
• Systematic and disciplined approach to problem-solving
  
• Capacity to perform under pressure in time-sensitive environments
• Strong communication skills for presenting analytical findings
• Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently
• Receptive to structured feedback and continuous improvement

Location Requirement: Candidate must reside in or within proximity to Victoria Island, Lagos, to ensure punctual attendance for early market sessions and real-time trading operations
