Microsoft Automation Specialist
Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Automation Specialist to design, develop, and implement business automation solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem. This role will leverage Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot, and related Microsoft 365 tools to streamline operations, and drive digital transformation

Responsibilities:
- Solution Design & Development: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain end-to-end low-code automation and application solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, Microsoft Dataverse, and AI Builder, based on defined business requirements.
- Microsoft Copilot Integration & Optimization: Implement, customize, and optimize Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 experiences, utilizing Copilot Studio for custom topics, prompts, and data grounding, and driving integration into workflows and user adoption.
- Automation
& Process Improvement: Identify, desgn, develop, and continuously optimize
end-to-end automated processes and workflows using Power Platform tools,
including Desktop Flows, across Microsoft 365 services.
- Integration
& Connectivity: Build
and manage robust integrations between Power Platform solutions and
various systems, including Microsoft 365, Azure services, and external
APIs/SaaS platforms, configuring data connectors and troubleshooting
connectivity.
- Governance,
Security & Compliance: Enforce Power Platform governance policies and ensure all
solutions comply with organisational security, privacy, and regulatory
standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), implementing robust role-based and data
row-level security.
- Lifecycle
Management & Documentation: Adopt Application Lifecycle Management
(ALM) best practices, including version control, environment management,
solution packaging, and comprehensive documentation, while coordinating
UAT and impact analysis.
- Collaboration & Communication: Act as a technical liaison between business units and IT, presenting solutions to senior leadership, and mentoring power users to foster a culture of development.\
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with Power BI (building dashboards/reports embedded in Power Apps).
- Knowledge of Azure (especially Logic Apps, Functions, and Azure SQL) for advanced integrations.
- Familiarity with DevOps/CI‑CD pipelines for Power Platform (e.g., using Power Platform Build Tools).
- Experience in process‑mapping (BPMN, Visio) and workflow optimisation.
- Power Platform: Power Apps (Canvas & Model‑Driven), Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop Flows), Power Virtual Agents, Power Pages, Dataverse, AI Builder, Power Platform Admin Center, Solution Management, Environment Strategy.
- Microsoft 365: SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Azure AD, Microsoft Graph API.
- Copilot: Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, prompt design, grounding, Copilot analytics.
- Data & Integration: Data connectors (SQL Server, SharePoint Lists, Excel, HTTP, OData, Common Data Service), REST APIs, JSON/XML, Basic Azure services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions).
