Job Summary

We are seeking a highly driven and customer-focused Relationship Officer with strong accounting and sales experience to join our team. The ideal candidate must have previously worked in a finance, microfinance, or related financial institution and possess excellent communication, analytical, and client-management skills.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients to drive business growth.
  • Identify client needs and recommend suitable financial products and services.
  • Manage client accounts, ensuring proper documentation, timely updates, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Conduct account reviews, track client transactions, and ensure proper reconciliation in line with accounting standards.
  • Drive sales targets by actively sourcing new clients and promoting company financial products.
  • Provide excellent customer service, resolve client issues promptly, and escalate complex concerns when necessary.
  • Prepare financial reports, sales updates, and client engagement summaries for management review.
  • Support credit assessment processes, including data collection, preliminary analysis, and follow-up with clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as credit, finance, and operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities.


Requirements:

  • HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years proven experience in a financial institution (finance, microfinance, banking, or related sector).
  • Strong accounting knowledge with the ability to interpret financial statements.
  • Demonstrated sales experience with a track record of meeting targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and client-relationship management skills.
  • Good understanding of financial products, credit processes, and customer service practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
