React Native Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native (Android & iOS)
• Implement features that support ordering, inventory management, payments, lending, and shelf tracking
• Work closely with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to integrate APIs and deliver seamless experiences
• Optimize mobile app performance for low-resource environments (offline-first, image compression, etc.)
• Handle push notifications, in-app messaging, and mobile security practices
• Write clean, testable, and scalable code with proper documentation

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of professional experience building apps with React Native
• Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
• Experience with Redux Toolkit, React Navigation, and mobile API integration
• Familiarity with Firebase, push notifications, and real-time data
• Knowledge of offline-first mobile architectures
• Experience debugging and optimizing apps for various screen sizes and low-end devices

Additional skills:

• Prior experience building e-commerce or fintech apps in Africa
• Familiarity with payment integrations (e.g., Paystack, Flutterwave, Interswitch)
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Bitrise or Fastlane
• Exposure to AI-driven user features (e.g., chatbots, smart recommendations)
• Published apps on the Play Store or App Store
