Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Product Inspection: Conduct regular quality checks of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company standards and food safety regulations.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all products meet the regulatory standards and food safety guidelines, including HACCP and ISO standards.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and report on production processes, identifying areas for improvement to enhance quality and consistency.
- Testing: Perform routine and ad-hoc tests on ingredients, baked products, packaging materials, and finished goods to assess taste, texture, appearance, and shelf life.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, tests, and corrective actions taken to resolve quality issues.
- Training: Assist in training production staff on quality control procedures and best practices to ensure all personnel adhere to quality standards.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve any quality issues or complaints related to products, liaising with production teams to implement corrective actions.
- Implement and maintain HACCP, GMP, and other food safety protocols.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
- Participate in internal audits and support regulatory inspections.
Requirements:
- Minimum HND degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field.
- 2-3 years experience in quality control, preferably in a food production environment.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and NAFDAC regulations.
- Familiarity with lab testing and QC equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with quality management systems is an advantage.
