Job Summary

Coordinators work on the day-to-day implementation of the Jolly Phonics Project. These Coordinators should ideally be based at the office appointed by State Universal Basic Education Board. The Project Coordinators will work closely with Universal Learning Solutions Initiative (ULSI) to ensure that the different project activities are implemented effectively on the ground.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Participating in Jolly Phonics training and continue practising and enhance relevant skills for personal development and effective mentoring and monitoring of teachers.
  • Acquiring and practising the technical skills necessary for collecting and collating data using the Jolly Monitor app.
  • Technical skills are required to utilize the Jolly Monitor Dashboard, to oversee monitoring and learning evaluation.
  • Monitoring and mentoring Project beneficiaries to ensure quality control standards are met and maintained during the project year.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, work plans as well as monthly and termly progress reports
  • Following written and verbal instructions provided by Universal Learning Solutions, the Project Manager, and the Monitoring Team Leader. 
  • Liaising closely with stakeholders and project partners to ensure that all parties are carrying out and coordinating their responsibilities effectively.
  • Maintaining polite but regular contact with stakeholders for the general running of the project and also for advocacy purposes.
  • Keeping an inventory of project materials stored giving regular updates to ULS and others. 


Responsibilities:

  • Minimum academic qualification of HND
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Knowledge of file management, and other administrative procedures.
