Job summary
We are looking for a qualified Furniture Maker to cut, fabricate, and install wooden and other structures according to specifications. Your job will entail working in the factory to produce quality and functional furniture products.

Responsibilities:
- Read and understand blueprints, sketches, and design specifications.
- Choose appropriate materials (wood, metal, fabric, etc.) based on design and functionality.
- Inspect materials for quality and suitability.
- Measure and mark materials according to specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and form parts.
- Assemble parts using nails, screws, adhesives, and other fasteners.
- Ensure joints are secure and pieces fit together correctly.
- Inspect completed pieces for accuracy, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain and repair tools and equipment.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Work closely with other team members, including designers, carpenters, and finishers.
- Provide input on design improvements and production processes.
- Use protective equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain detailed logs of work processes and completed tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE and Completion of a recognized apprenticeship.
- Additional certification, such as a trade test, may be required.
- An analytical mind for problem-solving.
- The ability to work alone or as part of a small team.
- Ability to follow instructions closely.
- Attention to detail.
