Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Making Clothes: Creating custom garments like suits, trousers, shirts, and dresses from scratch.
- Altering Garments: Adjusting seams, hems, and cuffs on store-bought or existing clothes.
- Fixing Repairs: Mending torn fabric, fixing broken zippers, and sewing on loose buttons.
- Conducting Fittings: Having clients try on clothes to mark and make final adjustments.
Requirements:
- Minimum SSCE qualification.
- Minimum 2 years’ proven experience in tailoring, garment production or fashion manufacturing.
- Experience producing women’s and children’s ready-to-wear garments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, measurements, fabrics, cutting and finishing.
- Ability to accurately read and work from patterns, measurements, sketches and garment samples.
- Ability to create and adjust basic garment patterns independently.
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines.
- Ability to work with different fabrics and understand appropriate sewing techniques for each fabric.
- Ability to meet daily production targets and deadlines without compromising quality.
- Willingness to follow NOMEELUX production standards, processes, and quality requirements.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a production team.
- Good communication and ability to report production issues promptly.
