Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement detailed testing protocols specific to smartphone accessories (e.g., fast-charging validation, battery capacity testing, audio quality testing, USB durability).
- Conduct functional, performance, safety, and compliance testing for new and existing products.
- Coordinate with the product development team to test prototypes, pre-production, and production samples.
- Monitor industry standards and ensure product compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify product defects or inconsistencies and recommend improvements or corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date test logs, defect reports, and testing documentation.
- Liaise with external laboratories for certifications and third-party testing where necessary.
- Serve as the primary contact for technical issues from customers, resellers, and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot product failures (e.g., non-charging units, connection problems, overheating, sound distortion).
- Provide detailed product knowledge to support teams, sales personnel, and end-users.
- Escalate recurring or complex issues to the engineering or product team and follow up on resolution.
- Create and maintain user guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting documentation for customer self-service.
- Track and analyze technical support trends to identify product improvement opportunities.
- Support the Quality Control (QC) team during inbound inspections and warranty claim evaluations.
Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of smartphone accessories and their functionality (USB protocols, Bluetooth pairing, power output specs, etc.)
- Familiarity with product testing tools and measuring equipment (e.g., multimeters, load testers, audio analyzers)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Customer service mindset with patience and empathy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2-4 years of experience in product testing, quality assurance, or technical support, preferably within the consumer electronics or mobile accessories industry.
- Knowledge of compliance certifications is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and test reporting tools.
