Procurement Officer
Job summary
The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, tools, and equipment required for carpentry and furniture production. The role ensures timely procurement of quality materials such as wood, fittings, and accessories at competitive prices to support efficient factory operations.

Responsibilities:
- Source and procure carpentry materials such as timber, plywood, MDF, hardware, and finishing materials
- Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable pricing
- Prepare and process purchase orders and procurement documentation
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials
- Track orders and ensure prompt delivery to the factory
- Verify the quality and quantity of delivered materials
- Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases
- Liaise with production and store departments to understand material requirements
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
- Prepare procurement reports and cost analysis for management
Requirements:
- HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in carpentry, furniture, ormanufacturing industry
- Good knowledge of carpentry materials and hardware
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
