Medical Laboratory Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily laboratory operations across all departments (histopathology, microbiology, hematology, cytology, etc.).
• Monitor workflow, turnaround times, and resource utilization.
• Manage procurement, inventory, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (e.g., MLSCN) and implementation of Quality Management Systems.
• Conduct audits, oversee CAPA, proficiency testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor laboratory staff, coordinate recruitment and training.
• Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and support budgeting.
• Liaise with clinicians and stakeholders to ensure service satisfaction.

Requirements:

• BMLS or related degree (required).
• Master’s degree in Laboratory Management or Healthcare Administration (preferred).
• Certification with a relevant professional body (e.g., MLSCN).
• 7–9 years of clinical laboratory experience, including 4–5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory processes, compliance standards, and LIS.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and decision-making capability.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, on-site, with potential for extended hours.
• Exposure to biohazardous materials; adherence to safety protocols required.

Remuneration: NGN 500,000 - 700,000 Net
