Mechanical Supervisor
Job summary
The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, coordinating, and monitoring all mechanical installation activities on assigned projects. The role ensures that all mechanical works are executed safely, according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and within the approved project schedule.

Responsibilities:
Project Execution:
- Supervise all mechanical installation works relating to: Fire sprinkler systems, Hydrant systems, Hose reel systems, Fire pump installations, Fire suppression systems, and Mechanical piping and supports.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor daily site activities to ensure progress aligns with the project schedule.
Team Supervision:
- Supervise welders, pipe fitters, technicians, helpers, and subcontractors.
- Allocate daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Monitor workmanship and productivity.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings before work commences.
Quality Control:
- Inspect all installations before submission for inspection.
- Ensure welding, fabrication, pipe alignment, and supports comply with approved standards.
- Coordinate pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning activities.
- Promptly identify and rectify defective work.
Material Management:
- Review project BOQs and understand material requirements.
- Monitor daily material usage.
- Raise Material Requisition Forms (MRFs) in advance of project needs.
- Prevent material wastage and ensure proper handling of company property.
- Reconcile materials issued against work completed.
Equipment & Tools Management:
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and used.
- Report damaged or faulty equipment immediately.
- Ensure equipment is safely stored after use.
Safety Compliance:
- Enforce company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.
- Ensure all personnel wear the required PPE.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Stop unsafe work and report hazards immediately.
Coordination:
- Work closely with: Project Engineers, Electrical Supervisors, Procurement & Consumables Manager, Warehouse Manager, and QA/QC Personnel.
- Participate in weekly progress meetings.
Reporting:
Prepare and submit:
- Daily Site Progress Reports.
- Weekly Progress Reports.
- Material Consumption Reports.
- Manpower Reports.
- Equipment Status Reports.
- Site Issue Reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of BSc.
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
