Job summary
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting engineering projects, equipment installation, maintenance, inspection, and calibration services. The role involves working across field and technical environments, ensuring mechanical systems and equipment operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry and regulatory standards

Responsibilities:
Engineering & Technical Operations:
- Design, install, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment used in engineering and environmental service projects.
- Support oil & gas-related mechanical works, including pipelines, storage systems, and integrity testing.
- Participate in equipment calibration, inspection, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct fault diagnosis, repairs, and preventive maintenance of mechanical systems.
Project & Field Execution:
- Provide on-site engineering support during project implementation and field operations.
- Supervise mechanical installations, fabrication, and commissioning processes.
- Assist in executing environmental and technical engineering projects across client sites.
Inspection & Compliance:
- Carry out routine inspections and testing of mechanical systems (including NDT support where applicable).
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Support corrosion control, cathodic protection, and equipment integrity programs.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, and inspection documentation.
- Support the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and service history.
Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (HSE, environmental, and technical units).
- Provide technical input during project planning, proposals, and client engagements.
- Support training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings during field operations.
Requirements:
- OND in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in engineering services, oil & gas, or industrial environments.
- Experience in equipment maintenance, calibration, or inspection services is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, and industrial equipment.
- Familiarity with inspection techniques (e.g., NDT basics is an added advantage.
- Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance systems.
- Proficiency in engineering tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and safety consciousness
- Ability to work in field environments and under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel for field assignments across project locations.
- Physically fit for site-based and technical operations.
- Knowledge of HSE standards and environmental compliance is an added advantage.
