Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Manage the legal function and the Group’s Company Secretary
- Provide critical support and coordination for the whole organization.
- Committed to high standards and quality and responsible for ensuring the integrity and efficiency of company-wide information, administration, and governance systems and procedures.
- Provide counsel and guidance on legal matters and on legal implications of all matters
- Provide legal opinions, interpretations, and recommendations to management and other staff
- Oversee the selection, retention, management, and evaluation of all outside counsel.
- Manage the company’s secretariat and monitor adherence to corporate governance obligations.
- Ensure the Group conducts its business in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Responsible for conducting commercial activities as required.
- Represent the organisation on internal and external matters.
- Develop corporate policies and procedures and implement the comprehensive corporate policy
- Providing effective administrative support with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Perform other duties assigned by the MD/CEO
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) and valid practicing certificate.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year post-qualification legal practice in a corporate or legal firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
